Thom Browne Resort 2013

Starting off with a big bang, I mean hat, caught my interest in this collection. Normally I look at one, maybe two photos in a collection, unless something captures me. The little whales on this jumbo hat caught my attention for sure! Other things in this collection caught my attention in a bad way though.
Thom stuck to his school boy tailored jackets, but of course couldn't go with a commercial looking resort collection. He added his twists here and there. If you look closely enough you'll see whale carcasses in the pattern and in embroidery.

This is too cute. I'm normally all for socks in heels, but maybe these heels need to be a bit higher, or the socks simpler. Also the chocker I could do without.

This is so classic and cute. I DIE for the whale bag!

MMM whales. If the whale pattern were.... floral?... this outfit could easily be mistaken for Chanel.

This outfit is very elegant but reminds me too much of the Luis Vuitton Spring 2012 collection. Especially the LV outfit on the left (below).

I'd love to see what this belt whodad is. I love the scalloped hem though. And how the scalloping is on the dress but in a non obvious way.

I LOVE a monochromatic outfit.

This is different... I'm not sure if I'd wear it.

This is fabulous! Whales, flowers, scalloping, a schoolboy tie, and big cuffs! LOVE

I love how simple this is, and I love the scallop placement.

WHAT is this yellow and orange stuff.

A little too abstract for me.

This I love (minus the socks).

Classic Thom Browne.

I LOVE the whale and skeleton embroidery! Also the glasses are fab.

AHHH MY FAVE. If Thom's next women's collection were like this I'd want to buy it all.

HAT HAT HAT!!

Louis Vuitton Resort 2013

I'm finding it really difficult to get back into the fashion mojo. I've been busy researching for my 4th year collection, and have sketched up a storm. I think I know which direction I want to go in but now I'm struggling with getting started on drafting and fabric sourcing! Before I know it summer will be over and I'll be screwed!

But for now I must get back into looking at pretty pictures of expensive things. Lets start with some Louis Vuitton Resort-wear! I can't decide what I think of ANY of this. I'm not sure if it's due to the crazy background, or if I can't see the vision and flow of the collection. Some garments are neat-o while others are... uhm.... not so neat....

I do enjoy this look. I wish I knew what the brown shirt sweater thing was though...

I like this jacket. A little 1970's can be a good thing.

LOVE the jacket and pants combo. If I was 9 feet tall I'd wear them.

WHAT are these pants? And this vest? NO and NO.

I thought we got over dresses over pants.... or in this case knee length shorts.

This is probably the outfit I like the most. Or maybe I just like how long her legs are. Who's to say?

WHERE could someone wear this? The lace on the bottom ruins the evening effect, and the boots just confuse me even more...

THIS one is BEAUTIFUL. Simple, whimsical, flowy, and yet like nothing I have seen before.

Larger than Life. Louis Vuitton

These new Louis Vuitton ads are so cute, and unique. They capture your attention and make you re-think the detail that goes into the expensive goods.

Mexico June Vogue Silver Shoot

This dress is amazing! I'd love to see it up-close to see how they constructed it. I also love the styling of this shot. Simple yet elegant, and not over the top.

Kourtney Kardashian Pregnancy Outfits

There's constant criticism of pregnancy clothing these days, but fortunately for mini Kourtney kardashian she can wear flowy clothing and not sacrifice style for function.
